About Us - The Giaquinto Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

Founded by Alyssa Giaquinto in 2019, the Giaquinto Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned wildlife. Fully licensed by MassWildlife and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the center also serves as a hub for community education and wildlife conservation advocacy.

Alyssa’s journey into wildlife rehabilitation began after an on-the-job injury led to her retirement from a career in law enforcement in 2018. Determined to make a meaningful difference, she turned her lifelong love of animals into a full-time mission: to care for wildlife in need and to educate people of all ages about the importance of protecting our natural world.

As a mother, Alyssa’s vision extends beyond rehabilitation—she hopes to inspire the next generation to value, respect, and conserve wildlife. Her greatest wish is for her daughter, and all children, to grow up in a world where wild animals thrive and ecosystems remain healthy and whole.

Together, Alyssa, her husband Michael, and their daughter continue this mission—rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife while sharing the importance of conservation through public education for people of all ages.
